Remembering Billy Roger's playing at Farquhar's in Omaha... I'm thinking it was early '70s...... jaw dropping to every young guitarist.

They were great musicians & could play anything from R&B, Jazz, Rap, Pop, and they were funny at the same time. Everybody from the elderly to children loved their music!

I have been enjoying Merry Clayton's second album for over 40 years. To hear her perform in a tour that was to support this album is amazing. She brings a funk to Amazing Grace that I had never heard before. What a voice!

Sweet...I used Herbie"s Memphis Underground to convince the College Board at Montclair State College in 1970 to host a gala Jazz/Blues Fest in May. Elvin Jones Quartet, McCoy Tyner Trio, B.B. King, Rahsaan, Herbie. All booked up and ready to go, then Kent State, and we shut down the campus for the rest of the year.

I was at this show, a magic night. I wish the whole show was recorded. This was broadcasted at the local radio P4 Jämtland. And by the way it is Sweden, not Switzerland.
